Returning to Truckee this year!
Join us at Alibi Truckee Friday, March 8, 2024 from 12pm - 7pm for the 15th annual Wine n' Ice carving competition as a part of North Lake Tahoe Snowfest!
Truckee River Winery's 2024 Wine n' Ice benefits the
Truckee River Watershed Council, a local nonprofit dedicated to
protecting and restoring our watershed.
"The Truckee River region is threatened. Fish: declining. Invertebrates: dwindling. Meadows: drying up. Human impact from mining, grazing, logging, population growth - and now extreme weather events - contributes to the river's "polluted" EPA rating. The watershed needs our help. We exist to transform its health and resiliency - so nature and humanity can thrive together."
Watch as competitors sculpt 300lb blocks of ice into awe-inspiring sculptures.
This year's carving competition will be centered around a theme and each sculpture must be inspired by Truckee Big Life!
The Top 3 contestants will win an assortment of prizes. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a trophy, prizes, and more!
The carving will begin at 12pm with judging taking place around 5pm.
The main attraction will be the ice carving, but we'll also have costume contest with awards going to an Individual, Couple, and a Group at 4:00p, photo back drop for guests, food and beer from Alibi Ale Works, outdoor games and - of course - wine from Truckee River!
Entry Fee: $15.00 - Gets you access to the ice carving, a TRW stemless glass, Mardi Gras beads, and Fun!
